pringles are the bologna of potato chips

I was eating some Pringles today and came up with this analogy. I told Abby about it and she said I had already mentioned it to her several weeks ago. Weird.

I hate pringles, but I like bologna.

is that because they are flat and stacked or is the some mystical reason I am missing?

I would say Ruffles are the bologna of the chip world. They are the staple of the youth and not really a 'special treat'.

Pringles are processed potato product formed into uniform shapes meant to resemble sliced chips - just like bologna is processed meat product formed into uniform shapes meant to resemble sliced deli meat.

But I was more interested in the repeat invention phenomenon than the particular invention itself.

so where do maraschino cherries fall into your equation?

Is tofu the pringle of the soy bean world?

I have no knowledge of tofu.
