you make the call

I need to decide what my next sermon will be about some time in the next couple of days. I'm taking suggestions. I'd prefer a narrative, but a topical sermon is fine too. So post your suggestions in the comments. Deadline for suggestions is Wednesday at midnight. Vote early and vote often.

Here is a list of what I've already done.

Mary and Martha
Lazarus raised from the dead
Elijah fleeing Ahab and Jezebel
Paul talking about eating meat sacrificed to idols

you should discuss the mythology of the book of genesis, and why modern american christians are so afraid of mystery.

or preach a sermon with out using the Bible. Your offering collections will rise and you will probably get a full time gig out of the deal.

I only ask a 10% idea fee.

Abby won, she suggested Luke 17:?. Since I am preaching the day before Thanksgiving she thought the story of the thankful leper would play well.

Richard finished second in a close race. The idea of preaching Psalm 114 wearing a white robe and opening with a recording of a chant of the psalm was appealing, but in the end the Luke passage won out.

Everyone else tied for 4th place, there was no award for 3rd place.

Abby was always going to win, so thanks for wasting our time.

I admit there was time wasting going on, but it wasn't from my end.
