How Appropriate

I read yesterday that Hugh Hefner has purchased the vault next to Marilyn Monroe and arranged to be buried next to her. How touching. Marilyn appeared on the cover of the first Playboy magazine in 1953 and less than ten years later was dead of a drug overdose. Hefner is over 80 years old and regularly has his picture made with blond bombshells that appear much the same as they did 50 years ago--because they are replaced every few years with new ones.
For all the blather about Playboy and its ilk empowering women, Marylin is the prime example of America leaving the super models behind when their sexual prowess has peaked.

Hefner said it was "natural" that he should be buried next to Marilyn. I don't think it's "natural", but I do think it's "fitting" that the consumer should be buried next to the consumed.
