three movies I saw

Juno - I really liked it. Good stuff.

Squid and the Whale - Interesting characters, well made, too depressing and gross.

Once - I really liked it. Good stuff.

P.S. I watched all three Pirate movies again last week when I was recovering from a wisdom tooth extraction. I really liked them. Good stuff.

George, you should totally review movies for a living. This post will really come in handy next I'm at Blockbuster, thanks.

You are a grown-up with 3 kids and a lovely wife who had a wisdom tooth removed, then was lucid enough to watch Johnny Depp through 3 movies, *and* write this review?

Wow, I remember that wisdom tooth thing, and I was only 16. I didn't think people over the age of 25 could survive it. (Hey, wait, maybe you're not over the age of 25?)

Anyway. Your will to survive is so impressive that I just had to pop on over here from bloglines to tell you. Rock on.

The wisdom tooth thing went surprisingly well. I hardly experienced any pain. The worst thing was the terrible heartburn after I started eating again - because of all the air I was swallowing.

Sometimes I don't like to say too much about a movie, especially when it is one that many haven't seen yet, because I don't want to ruin or alter other's movie watching experience. I used to get the New Yorker and every time I'd read their movie reviews I'd not want to watch whatever movie it was they were reviewing. They sapped all of the fun out of it. I can say that the music in all three films is great.

I agree with Juno and Squid and the Whale - Juno was great and clever. Two movies now by Egon's kid that have been great (Thank you for smoking was the other one). I couldn't finish squid and the whale - stopped it after 30 minutes because it was just way too depressing - great acting though.
