Bush and waterboarding

Is it ok for a Christian to authorize torture under any circumstances? I can't see where torture has any part in Christianity. How can Bush square this with his faith? Shouldn't the Christian community be outraged? What would Christians say if Clinton had done this?

Sort of goes along with the article that I just read by David Mamet:

"Why I Am No Longer a 'Brain-Dead Liberal'"

It depends on how you define torture.

I would say it is torture to march around a city until the walls fall down on the people inside.

Remember, God created the first "water-board" when he flooded the entire earth and save only one family.

No, it isn't okay.

Yes, they should be outraged.
